Update for June 4, 2009
The “summer” road opening/closure schedule began on Monday, May 18th and goes through September 11th. With the “summer” schedule comes night construction work by the Contractor. Be aware of the summer road opening/closure times so it does not interfere with your travel plans. Check out the Travel Info section on the website for the full monthly schedule(s).
For the week June 8th through June 12th, the Contractor plans working Monday night through Thursday night and will continue forming, installing rebar and pouring concrete for the footing(s) @ Wall 10, excavation and drilling soil nails for temporary shoring at Wall 11, possible culvert installation(s), catch basins, and/or installing utility vaults as time permits.
For those of you planning on visiting the area to camp, hunt, fish, and/or just to enjoy the area, the Salmon River Road may have changed since your last visit, so please be cautious and patient when traveling through the construction area and abide by the signs placed for your safety, and everyone else’s safety also.
Here is a glance at the week of June 8th to June 12th showing the summer schedule for road openings / closures
