Update for May 21, 2009

"It's Memorial Weekend May 23rd through May 25th"

Memorial Day Image

The "summer" road opening/closure schedule began on Monday, May 18th and goes through September 11th. With the "summer" schedule comes night construction work by the Contractor. Be aware of the summer road opening/closure times so it does not interfere with your travel plans. Check out the Travel Info section on the website for the full monthly schedule(s).

For the week May 25th through May 29th, the Contractor plans working Tuesday night through Thursday night and will continue forming, installing rebar and possibly pouring concrete for the footing(s) @ Wall 10, possible culvert installation(s), catch basins, and/or installing utility vaults as time permits.

For those of you planning on visiting the area to camp, hunt, fish, and/or just to enjoy the area, the Salmon River Road may have changed since your last visit, so please be cautious and patient when traveling through the construction area and abide by the signs placed for your safety, and everyone else's safety also.

Here is a glance at the week of May 25th to May 29th showing the summer schedule for road openings / closures
