Update for April 3, 2009

NOTICE

The River Road is open to public traffic on Friday, April 10th as the Contractor has elected to not work.

For the week April 6th through April 10th, the Contractor plans on continuing excavation @ Wall 10, continuing construction @ Wall 7, drilling and the testing of soil nails for the temporary shoring @ Wall 10, and working on culvert outlets as time permits.

There will be no night work this week.  The roadway will be open to the public 6:00pm to 8:00am.

For those of you planning on visiting the area to camp, hunt, fish, and/or just to enjoy the area, the Salmon River Road may have changed since your last visit, so please be cautious and patient when traveling through the construction area and abide by the signs placed for your safety, and everyone else’s safety also.

For something a little more exciting, and undoubtedly faster than road construction, make sure you plan to attend the 25th Annual Salmon River Jet Boat Races in Riggins, Idaho, April 17th, 18th, and 19th.
