Update for January 16, 2009

For the week of January 12th through January 15th the Contractor did some investigative borings at various wall locations throughout the project.

The weather has continued to be a contributing factor as to the amount of work that can be accomplished.

For the week of Monday, January 19th through Friday, January 23rd the Contractor plans on finishing the riprap embankment at 7+867 to 7+920 (upriver from Island Bar and downriver from Miner’s Bar) and fence installation where the fencing was removed last year between Short’s Bar and the Elk Ranch.

There will be no night work this week.  The road will be open 5:00pm until 8:00am.

For those of you planning on visiting the area to camp, hunt, fish, and/or just to enjoy the area, the Salmon River Road may have changed since your last visit, so please be cautious and patient when traveling through the construction area and abide by the signs placed for your safety, and everyone else’s safety also.
