Update for September 26, 2008
For the week of September 22nd the Contractor’s focus was on the “in-water” work at 7+870 to 7+920 which consisted of removing the turbidity curtain from the river and continuing to place rip rap; generating rip rap from the oversize at the material source adjacent to the rodeo grounds, drilling, and minor slope work.
During the day for the week of September 29th through October 3rd the Contractor will continue to work on generating and placing rip rap, installing culverts, a small well contained blast will take place on Tuesday (September 30th), and continuing slope work. At night this week there will be drilling operations going on starting Monday, the 29th through Thursday night at 4+820 +/- and 6+400 +/- to generate additional quantities of rip rap.
For those of you planning on visiting the area to camp, hunt, fish, raft, or just to enjoy, the Salmon River Road may have changed since your last visit, so please be cautious and patient when traveling through the construction area and abide by the signs placed for your safety, and everyone else’s safety also.
