Update for August 29, 2008

For the week of August 25th the Contractor focused on the “in-water” work that consisted of placing sandbags to isolate the work area from the river and beginning to place the rip rap as designed. There was also some minor road maintenance in preparation for the Labor Day weekend.

The Contractor will be working nights next week (Tuesday, September 2nd through Thursday, September 4th).

For those of you planning on visiting the area cover Labor Day weekend, the Salmon River Road may have changed since your last visit, so please be cautious and patient when traveling through the construction area and abide by the signs placed for your safety, and everyone else’s safety also.  When the Contractor is working at night please watch for the flaggers and the pilot car that are there for the safety of all.
