Update for April 4, 2008
The Salmon River Jet Boat Races are just around the corner. The road will be open to traffic with no delays on Friday, April 18. On Thursday, April 17, the road will be open from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m., and then will reopen at 6 p.m. For the full April schedule, click on the ‘April 2008 Schedule’ in the TRAVEL INFO section above.

The construction project is progressing very well. Shoulder stabilization and roadway excavation are approximately 75% complete. The picture below shows a view of a completed shoulder stabilization area as seen from the other side of the river. Downdrains will be added to the bright, shiny, silver culvert pipe seen below, and both the culvert and downdrains will be painted to blend in with the natural environment.
