Update for February 29, 2008
Shoulder stabilization work resumed this week. The picture below shows a shoulder stabilization area. The existing material is removed to a defined elevation, then layers of wire mesh are placed and backfilled with free-draining granular material. The outer edge of the stabilization area also has an L-shaped mesh unit, which helps to confine the material. The overall objective of the shoulder stabilization work is to provide a stable roadway, which will endure traffic and Mother Nature.
The long, skinny lines along the right side of the excavated area are utility conduit. In this area, Debco is also installing a culvert pipe for drainage.

For the week of March 3rd, the road will close each weekday at 8:30 a.m. Beginning Monday, March 10, the closures will start at 8:00 a.m. again.
Have a good week,
